Dr. Kristi McAlpin is a 2000 graduate of the University of MN, College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the staff at St. Michael Veterinary Clinic after graduation and is currently a co-owner who practices between the St. Michael Veterinary Clinic and Big Lake Area Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys working with both the clients and their pets. Outside of the clinic she takes care of her family, which includes her husband, six daughters, and multiple pets. Some of her favorite activities outside of the clinics are gardening, reading, photography and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Laura Bloomquist graduated in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin-School of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the staff at St. Michael Veterinary Clinic and Big Lake Area Veterinary Hospital shortly after graduation. She enjoys working for a clinic that practices quality and progressive medicine while focusing on client education and preventive care. She currently resides in Maple Grove with her husband, daughter, two sons, two dogs and a cat. Dr. Angela Sanderson is a 2016 graduate from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sanderson joined the St. Michael Veterinary team following graduation, after completing an externship with the clinic earlier that spring. During that time she became enamored with the staff, clients and pets of St. Michael Vet Clinic. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in dentistry, surgery, feline medicine, animal behavior and nutrition. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors boating, fishing, camping, hiking and snowboarding, as well as watching movies and cooking. She currently lives with her husband, two sons, dog, four cats and two snakes.

Dr. Sarah Bourn (née Langewisch) is a 1999 graduate of the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is excited to join the staff at St. Michael Veterinary Clinic and return to her hometown community. A 1991 graduate of St. Michael–Albertville High School, her connection to the clinic began early — her first pet, a cat named Sparkles, was treated at St. Michael Veterinary Clinic when she was 7 years old.
Dr. Bourn brings more than 25 years of experience in small-animal practice across Minnesota. She enjoys building relationships with clients and working alongside her team to provide thoughtful, compassionate care. Her professional interests include preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, and helping families navigate important medical decisions for their pets.
In her free time, Dr. Bourn enjoys Bible study, cross-stitching, collecting Disney media, collecting coins from other countries, and spending time with her family.
